However, if encountering high temperature, the polytetrafluoroethylene contained in the Non-stick surface coating will decompose phosgene, which will strongly stimulate the lungs, thus leading to the occurrence of Emphysema. Generally, the denaturation temperature of Non-stick surface coating is 260 ℃, and the decomposition temperature is 350 ℃. Phosgene will be decomposed when the temperature reaches above 350 ℃.
When cooking, as long as you do not dry burn the Non-stick surface, it will not reach the decomposition temperature, and you can cook normally.
Therefore, we conclude that the Non-stick surface coating itself will not cause cancer. Only when the temperature reaches 350 ℃ or above, the coating will decompose harmful substances, which will affect the health of the body with food intake.
